So I have another choice to make. x.x Updated the OS on my computer to Windows 8, and that means my old programs (which are so outdated anyways it was sad) need to be upgraded as well. I'm not sure if I should get Corel Painter 12, or Photoshop CS6. I'd love to hear some opinions on each of them from some of you artists who use them!

Harley the hound mix needs your help
Hello friends, I know I haven't really been active for some time but I come back today with a need. My puppy Harley broke her leg this morning and I am strapped for cash. We are funding the surgery for her through GoFundMe at https://www.gofundme.com/22ynu5kc.

So, I'm getting a tablet in the next few days, and frankly I have no idea what the best options are. x.x I would adore some opinions on quality vs. pricing, and suggestions for specific models.
I'll be using it for a variety of things, photo manipulations and for drawing both, and have never owned a tablet prior to this. I do pick up electronic stuff pretty quickly though, so that''s always something that makes life a bit easier.

Alrighty... I need some work, and what better way to push my own boundaries than to tackle a project, start to finish, via streaming? I'm going to be starting a photo manipulation project tonight, and streaming everything I do. Not sure if I will finish tonight, but if I have to do small segments so be it.

EDIT:: After a good 3.5 hours of work, I'm heading off from the night and am nowhere near finished. Today I spent all that time cutting out a horse, and then creating a mane and tail for it. A lot of work went into it too, so here's hoping the finished project will reflect that.

I'd avoid Corel Painter all-together. PaintToolSAI plays much kinder with Win8 from what I've seen around the community.
... And honestly, I use both PTS and Photoshop CS6 when putting my stuff together. Paint with PTS, aftereffects and filter with CS6 when needed.
